Things I forgot to blather on about last week because I was so preoccupied with Meg Cabot's books' perfect guys:
On Thursday Mom took her FIRST day off from her new job...though Ollie turned us both very cranky. They left in the morning without me...then I made them come back...and we went to the post office, then to SJS to pick up some of my books we'd ordered from their Bookstore. I got my locker assignment, but I hadn't brought any of my stuff to put in there (plus I hadn't even gotten my school supplies yet!) since nobody bothered to actually tell me we got locker assignments then. But since nobody that reads this goes to SJS, my locker # is 270 (no special number there...I really, really miss my #3 almost-on-the-end I had in 8th grade right now!) and my combination is 43-3-35. This is really cool...3-3-3!!! And the 4 and 5 are easy to remember.
I am so stupid. Why am I putting my locker combination on the internet?
Oh well. I'm just stupid.
Yeah like some stalker freak is gonna come and get me and kill me just because they know my locker combination.
Anywayz! We also went school supply shopping at Office Depot, Ollie was a huge pain in the ass, and we all went home in the rain. Whoopee.
Saturday-Mom took me to Cingular for my maybe-cell-phone!!!! But she just HAS to get the buy one, get one free...at least it's a flippy and has a camera though! AWESOME! I'm getting it this weekend, I hope.
Other than that, no, nothing cool last week.
But this week...at least Sunday and Monday...*sigh*
Wait. Saturday night! I went to see a late late late showing (okay 10 o'clock is only late for my mom) of Red Eye with Dad and Margaret, and it was SOOO GOOD!! Rachel McAdams is officially my FAVORITE actress, she can do any type of movie and still be great. Cillian Murphy was creepy, but also very good. Go Wes Craven! I'm not totally into horror, but I love to see GREAT thrillers like this one every-so-often. GRADE:A-
Okay, Sunday...slept late, since I got home past midnight (ha on YOU, all who went to the St. Thomas dance!) and missed 9 am Mass. Instead I hung around the house till 2-ish when Dad came to get me...we went to Coney Island and Borders...then to Life Teen.
I think I can safely say, if none of my friends went to Life Teen, I would never go again. I'm sorry, I cannot STAND Masses that are more than an hour and a half long! Why sing a little hymn for 20 minutes?? WHY??!!
Too bad I have to go next week. For the weirdly named Lamb Jam. I always think of Love Angel Music Baby when I hear lamb, not exactly old scriptures about the Lamb of God.
Yesterday! I stayed home alone for a while since Ollie had his FIRST day of preschool 4K at STM. Then Lina came...but I only went willingly with her and the blondies to go to the Galleria. Plus I'd been craving a cherry limeade from the Sonic inside.
After going to Lina's work, I started complaining nonstop about how long I was going to wait to get home, and how I had stuff to go (I really did), so Lina actually took me home around 3 with the baby Jenson in the backseat so he would nap already.
Home alone again. The best way to be. I finished reorganizing my ENTIRE room completely, finished my DVD/CD shelf, everything. Except for those few boxes by the closet, I'm totally done.
Then...the party. The back-to-school, Welcome-to-Upper-School pool party at that pool across from Emily's house. I was afraid to go (I know I'm a chicken) since I knew I'd just follow around the people I know and try to talk to a few new people.
Lemme say..my grade is HUGE. Nothing compared to public high school, I'm sure, but triple the old 8th grade.
I did meet, and re-meet, some really nice people. These three new girls from AOS, Kema and Georgine and Catherine, some old SJS people, Kat and Tiffany, a couple from the Village school, Alexa and someone else.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH now I have to remember all these names!!!!!
Well, it was better than I expected, except for the rain and lightning that made us get out of the pool twice.
Oh dear. I gotta go now, Mom says she's going to SJS for the Used Uniform sale (to sell some she got from someone else, I absolutely refused used uniforms-I'm not snobby, just need new clothes, you know?) and coming back in an hour to take me to Orientation at 11. SHIT! I need to go early to put stuff in my locker...need to go NOW...
Bubye!!!
